Sorry I haven’t posted in a long time. I’ve been working on one lengthy post for awhile and I just haven’t been able to finish it. I decided to step away from it for awhile to get a new perspective but now the holidays are here and I have a work trip coming up soon. So I don’t expect to have much to post until the new year.
Hopefully I’ll be able to start the posts about more letter writers in January. I just connected with another relative of one of the letter writers so hopefully I’ll have more to report.
I put a few copies of the 1st edition up on the website again if you’re looking for a gift.

I’m happy to sign and dedicate them if you like. It would be best to order by Thursday to make sure I can get it in the mail before I’m out of town all next week.
Use the coupon code rudolph at checkout and get 20% off 2 copies.
Today is the last day to order shirts and hopefully get them in time for the holiday but I can’t really guarantee that.
Speaking of Rudolph I did find something fun that I thought I would share. I was trying to find something fresh to say about Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer which you all probably know was a creation of a copy writer at Montgomery Ward in 1939. But that story has been told a number of times, probably best in this piece from Time Magazine in 2018.
While I was reading everything I could about Rudolph I did find a short animated film of Rudolph that predates the one we all know from TV. It came out in 1948 and features an earlier version of the song that Gene Autry made famous. It sticks closer to the original story than the later film, and is much less bizarre. I’m sure some folks have seen this already but I hadn’t so I figured I would share.
I hope you have a great holiday season and I’ll do my best to post more regularly in the new year.
